Inspection of Continuous Improvement Arrangements
The Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO), has a legislative requirement to complete a review of the Policing Board’s obligations under Part V of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000.
The Policing Board continues to use the wealth of experience brought by the membership of the Continuous Improvement Strategic Working Group to advise and deliver Continuous Improvement in PSNI and the Policing Board. This group is made up of representatives from the Policing Board, PSNI, Department of Justice, NIAO, Criminal Justice Inspectorate Northern Ireland and the Association of Police Authorities.
It meets generally three times a year, and reviews the progress against the Continuous Improvement Performance Plan to date and considers new areas for consideration and development.
