Monitoring PSNI Absence
For the year 2005/06, the Policing Board set the Chief Constable a target to reduce the average annual level of sickness absence to 12.5 days for police officers and 13 days for civilian support staff. The target for police officers was achieved with the figure for the year being 11.65 days. However the target set for civilian support staff was not achieved as the figure for the year was 14.92 days. This area continues to be monitored every 4 months by the Human Resources Committee.
