The Policing Board undertakes a range of surveys to establish public perceptions of the Policing Board, District Policing Partnerships (DPPs) and the delivery of policing by the PSNI. The Policing Board uses Omnibus Survey results to fulfil its responsibilities under Section 3(3)(d) of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 to “assess the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the PSNI and of District Policing Partnerships” and to measure some targets set by the Policing Board in the Annual Policing Plan.
The surveys include a variety of questions which seek the views of the public on a range of issues including policing.
