Service Monitoring Branch is primarily responsible for the following ;
- Development and publication of the Annual Policing Plan
- Monitoring PSNI performance against the targets set in the Annual Policing Plan.
- Managing the Independent Community Observer Scheme and Independent Custody Visitor Scheme.
- Providing guidance to District Policing Partnerships regarding the Annual Policing Plan and Local Policing Plans.
- Development and monitoring of the Policing Board Corporate Plan and Business Plans.
