Data Protection

The Data Protection legislation gives individuals a general right of access to the personal data which relates to them.

Requests for access to records and for other information about those records are known as ‘subject access requests’ and can be made to the Policing Board if you think we have the information which you want access to.  Personal data may take the form of computerised or paper records.

It also provides the right for individuals to rectification of data held, erasure of data held, restrict processing and the right to object to processing.
