Policing Board’s Publication Scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act, all public authorities in the United Kingdom must have a Publication Scheme approved by the Information Commissioner that sets out the information they routinely make publicly available.

The purpose of our Publication Scheme is to let you know what information is readily available from us without you needing to ask us for it. By readily available we mean that the information:

and ensures that a significant amount of information on the work of the Policing Board is available to you. You can view the Scheme on this site, or go to your local library where they will have a copy for you to read.

Since 30 June 2003 you will also find information that we have not made public before, such as our internal procedures and policies. To view the documents just click on their title and this will link you through.

When it came into existence on 4 November 2001, the Policing Board only published the minutes of the public session of the Policing Board. Since 1 January 2004 onwards, the Policing Board has published in full, approved Policing Board and committee meeting minutes, agendas and reports, including a list of background papers.
