Policing Board Chair Anne Connolly has condemned the shooting of a police officer in Belfast. She said: “This wasn’t just a shocking and utterly senseless attack on an officer but on the whole of the PSNI who are working hard to keep our community safe, and on the wider community. Such attacks have no support and will achieve nothing.
My thoughts are with the officer and his family.”
