ASSISTANT CHIEF OFFICER (DIRECTOR EQUIVALENT) FOR THE POLICE SERVICE OF NORTHERN IRELAND (PSNI)

The Northern Ireland Policing Board is seeking to appoint two new Assistant Chief Officers to the PSNI. Working within the PSNI Service Executive Team, the Director of Corporate Services and the Director of Strategic Planning and Transformation are key leadership roles in one of the most important public services in Northern Ireland.  

Assistant Chief Officer (Director equivalent) – Corporate Services (Permanent - salary £119,000 (under review) plus allowances)

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in the PSNI this role creates a unique opportunity to lead on the delivery of finance and governance, information and communications, procurement and logistics, transport services and legal services supporting the PSNI’s 10,000 workforce.

Candidates will require a recognised finance/accountancy qualification and possess extensive financial and strategic resource leadership skills.

The successful candidate can avail of a generous removal and relocation package including removal and accommodation costs for up to six months.

Police Service of Northern Ireland Assistant Chief Officer (Director equivalent) – Strategic Planning and Transformation (Fixed term initially for 3 years plus possibility of two further one year extensions – salary £113,000 (under review) plus allowances)

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in the PSNI, this role will lead on strategic planning and manage and oversee major transformation programmes across PSNI with a particular focus on capital strategy and transformation of estates.

Candidates will possess in depth professional knowledge in a number of disciplines and substantial experience of successfully establishing, leading and maintaining large scale central change functions.

The successful candidate can avail of a generous removal and relocation package including removal and accommodation costs for up to six months.
