Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives any individual the right to request information from public authorities. It is designed to foster a culture of openness and transparency and make Government more accountable. It is also intended that the Act help the public understand better  how public authorities carry out their duties, why they make decisions, and how they spend public money.

The Policing Board is committed to the Freedom of Information Act and the responsibilities it places on its members and staff.
