Question

Further to the reply to the question asked on 3 November 2022 re 27 referrals to Home Office immigration enforcement following an encounter during a Schedule 7 Terrorism Act 2000 stop in Northern Ireland ports, airports or in a border area can you update the figures for the calendar year 2022 and also provide:

 The total number of people stopped under Schedule 7 in 2022;
 The total number detained under Schedule 7 in 2022; and
 Equivalent figures for 2019-2021 inclusive

In addition, can you provide figures for those encountered under S75 categories broken down by total numbers and those referred to the Home Office immigration enforcement and those detained. Further could you provide figures for ethnicity of those, stopped, referred to Home Office enforcement and those detained.

I am aware that some of the figures for 2019 and 2020 are already in the Independent Reviewer of Terrorism Legislation’s annual report but it would be useful to have as a comparator.
